Melanie K. Jones

Melanie Jones is Professor of Economics at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University. Prior to this she has held academic positions at the University of Sheffield and Swansea University.

Melanie has worked on a range of policy relevant issues in empirical labour economics but has a particular interest in the impact of disability on labour market outcomes.

This work has been published in international journals such as Economica, Oxford Economic Papers, Economics Letters, Cambridge Journal of Economics, British Journal of Industrial Relations and Social Science and Medicine.

She is currently an Editor at the British Journal of Industrial Relations.

She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in March 2017.
