Peter Jensen is Professor at the Department of Economics and Business, Aarhus University, Denmark. He received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Aarhus in 1990. He was previously Head of Department and also Director of the Graduate School for "Integration, Production and Welfare". He is a past Secretary and Council Member of the European Society for Population Economics. He is also past board member of the Danish Social Science Research Council. His research interests are in the area of empirical labour economics, population economics, microeconometric analysis, and labour market policies. His publications include articles in Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Population Economics, Review of Economic Dynamics, and Scandinavian Journal of Economics.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in September 2000.
