Murat Genç is a lecturer in the Department of Economics at University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. He received his BSc in Management Engineering from Istanbul Teknik Űniversitesi in Turkey, and his PhD in economics from Washington State University. He teaches microeconomics and econometrics. His research interests are in applied microeconometrics. His recent research has focused on the link between immigration and international trade.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in January 2013.
