Osnat Lifshitz

Dr. Osnat Lifshitz is a senior lecturer at Tiomkin School of Economics at Reichman university and a senior researcher at The Aaron Institute for economic policy.

Her main field of research is Labor Economics and Applied Econometrics, where she studies family economics using structural dynamic programing models of the household, focusing on the interaction between the labor market and the marriage market. She has published in economic journals such as Econometrica, Labour Economics, Review of Economic Dynamics, International Economic Review. She also wrote several policy papers and chapters in books about the Israeli Labor market. Dr. Lifshitz is a Management Committee Member representing Israel at the COST ACTION "Text, functional and other high dimensional data in econometrics: New models, methods, applications (HiTEc)" and a committee member of the Public Advisory Council for Statistics Israel. Dr. Lifshitz joined the Tiomkin School of Economics in 2015, after a stint as a faculty member at the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, and as a visiting lecturer at Waterloo University in Canada and at the Berglas School of Economics at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Lifshitz holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a B.Sc. in Computer Science, both from Tel Aviv University. Her Post-doctoral position was at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.

Dr. Osnat Lifshitz joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2023.
