Mette Foged is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Copenhagen, and project leader for EARN (Economic Assimilation Research Network), evaluating policies for the integration of refugees.

Her research interests are Labour Economics and Applied Microeconometrics. Her research focusses on the
economics of international migration and household economics.

Mette Foged received her PhD in Economics from the University of Copenhagen in 2014 and was employed as a Postdoc financed by the Independent Research Council of Denmark from summer 2014 until fall 2017.

She joined IZA as a research fellow in September 2015.
