Damián Vergara is a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at UC Berkeley. In the 2023-2024 academic year, he will join the Industrial Relations Section at Princeton University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Beginning in 2024, he will join the Economics Department at the University of Michigan as an Assistant Professor. Before his doctoral studies, Damián obtained a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from the Universidad de Chile.
Damián is a Public and Labor economist. His research interests relate to questions of inequality, policy design, taxation, labor market institutions, and discrimination.
Damián Vergara joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2023.
