Mingyu Chen is an Economist at Amazon. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University in 2019. Before joining Amazon, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.

His research interests include the economics of education and labor economics. In particular, he is interested in the intersection between higher education markets, labor markets, and immigration policies. His current work includes income segregations at Chinese colleges, gender differences in job search, and the impact of foreign workers on domestic workers and firms.

Mingyu Chen became a Research Affiliate in March 2022.
