Alexander M. Danzer is Professor of Economics at KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. He received Diplomas in Economics and in Social Geography from the University of Munich, Germany, and a PhD in Economics from Royal Holloway College, University of London, UK, in 2010. Before moving to KU, Alexander held a position as Juniorprofessor of Economics at the University of Munich (LMU). He has worked as a Consultant to the World Bank since 2008.

Alexander's main area of interest is applied labour economics and development economics, with a special focus on labor supply, employee compensation, pensions, welfare and migration.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in September 2008 and became a Research Fellow in December 2011.
