Yves Zenou, Ph.D., is a Professor of Economics and holds the Richard Snape Chair in Business and Economics at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). His research is both theoretical and empirical and his interests include: (i) Social interactions and network theory, (ii) Search and matching theory, (iii) Urban economics, (iv) Segregation and discrimination of ethnic minorities, (v) Identity and assimilation of immigrants, (vi) Criminality and (vii) Education.
Yves Zenou is also affiliated to the Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN, Stockholm), the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR, London) and the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA, Bonn). He is also a visiting professor at the University of Southampton.
He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, a Foreign Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (class for social sciences), SAET Economic Theory Fellow, Fellow of the Spatial Econometrics Association, Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia, and Fellow of the Regional Science Association International.
He is currently Associate Editor at Games and Economic Behavior, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, IZA Journal of Migration, and Annals of Economics and Statistics.
He has published his research in different journals such as Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, International Economic Review, Economic Journal, Journal of the European Economic Association, Theoretical Economics, Quantitative Economics, RAND Journal of Economics, American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, European Economic Review, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Public Economics, Review of Economic Dynamics, Journal of Urban Economics, and Regional Science and Urban Economics.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in October 1999.
