Hannah Liepmann joined the Research Department of the International Labour Organization in 2018, where she works as an Economist in the Skills, Active Labour Market Policies, and Policy Evaluation Unit. Her fields of interest are in labor economics and applied microeconomics, with a focus on studying how labor market policies and phenomena of structural change affect the integration of marginalized groups into quality employment. Hannah holds a PhD in Economics from Humboldt-University Berlin. At Humboldt-University, she also worked for the Collaborative Research Center “Rationality and Competition”. In addition, Hannah has been a visiting researcher at the Institute for Research on Labour and Employment (IRLE) at UC Berkeley and the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg. Hannah joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2021 and is now a Research Fellow. She is also a Research Fellow of the RWI Leibniz Institute for Economic Research.
