Chiara Pronzato is Professor of Demography at the University of Turin (Italy) director of the Impact Evaluation Unit at the Collegio Carlo Alberto Fellow, and President of the Fondazione Teatro Ragazzi Giovani. She studied Statistics at the University of Turin and then moved to ISER, University of Essex, where she earned a Phd in Economics. In 2008, she was back to Italy with a post-doc position at Dondena, Bocconi University.
Her main research interests are in the fields of economics of the family, demography, and policy evaluation methods.
Her research appears in Management Science, the Economic Journal, in the Journal of Population Economics, in the Scandinavian Journal of Economics, in Oxford Economic Papers, in the European Journal of Population, in Regional Studies, and in Review of Economics of the Household. She joined IZA as Research Fellow in March 2012.
