Frédéric Docquier has been Deputy Director of the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) since September 2024. He is a member of the Academy of Europe, the Institut Grand-Ducal de Luxembourg, and the Fondation IDEA. Previously, he was Professor of Economics at the Université catholique de Louvain and Research Associate of the FNRS (2005-19). His research interests include the economics of migration, quantitative development theory, and economic growth. He acted as an external expert for the World Bank, the United Nations, and the Agence Française de Développement. Frédéric Docquier joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2003. In the first half of 2004 he spent part of his sabbatical as a Visiting Research Fellow at IZA.
