Cecilia Machado
Research Fellow
Cecilia Machado is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Economics of Fundação Getúlio Vargas. She received her PhD degree at Columbia in 2010. Her areas of interest include labor economics, econometrics and applied microeconomics. Cecilia has done research on program evaluations and estimation of treatment effects, and on gender differences in the labor market, and family formation and dissolution. She is currently working on problems of selection with missing outcomes, with an application to measurement of the gender wage gap in the US.
She joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in August 2010 and became a Research Fellow in July 2017.
