Alessandro Palma is Associate Professor of Applied Economics at the Gran Sasso Science Institute (Social Sciences) and Adjunct Professor at LUISS University. His research focuses on environmental externalities and their effects on the labor market, human capital formation, and health, using large administrative datasets. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental and Development Economics from Roma Tre University and has been a visiting researcher at the Basque Centre for Climate Change (Bilbao), CEMI–EPFL (Lausanne), and the Department of Economics at UC San Diego.
He has been a VisitINPS Research Fellow, an external advisor to the Bank of Italy, and a consultant for the UN FAO and the World Bank.
