Mara Barschkett is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Applied Microeconomics at the University of Bonn and a guest researcher at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin).

She earned her PhD from Freie Universität Berlin as part of the DIW Graduate Center and was a member of the Berlin School of Economics.

Her primary research interests include health economics, labor economics, family economics, and education economics.

She collaborated closely with IZA's local research team as an Associated Member and remains in the IZA Network as a Research Affiliate.
