Minimum wage effects on employment and unemployment

The statutory minimum wage introduced in Germany on January 1, 2015, was raised from 8,50 to 8,84 euros in 2017. This project assesses the causal impact of the minimum wage and its increase on the recent trends in employment and unemployment. Research will analyze various administrative data on regional labor markets, firms, and employees.
