Arturo Aguilar holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Harvard University and a B.A. in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at ITAM.
Arturo's research interests are in development, labor, and applied econometrics. His most recent work focuses on early-childhood physical and cognitive development, the medium-term impacts of access to conditional cash transfer programs during early life stages, and gender inequality in agriculture.
He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in June 2012 and became a Research Fellow in July 2017.
