Cagla Okten is an associate professor at Bilkent University. She received her Ph.D. degree from Northwestern University.
Her fields of interest are labor economics, public economics, economic development and industrial organization. Her current research focuses on education, female labor force participation, private transfers to and participation in non-profit firms and community organizations. Among other journals, she published in Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Population Economics, Economics of Education Review and Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.

She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2012.
