Silvia Mendolia is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Wollongong (Australia). She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and a Master of Science (Distinction) in Economics from the University College of London (UCL).

Before joining the University of Wollongong in 2012, Silvia worked as a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Aberdeen (Department of Economics and Health Economics Research Unit), and as a part-time Research Associate at the Social Policy Research Centre (UNSW).

Silvia’s research interests are in the fields of: Health Economics, Economics of Education, Labour Economics, and Applied Microeconometrics. She joined IZA as Research Fellow in August 2014.
