Stefanie Behncke

Swiss National Bank

Stefanie Behncke is an economist at the Swiss National Bank.

Stefanie completed her dissertation within the PhD Program in Economics and Finance at the University of St. Gallen.
She was previously a visiting scholar at the University of York. She completed the PhD course program of the Swiss National Bank Study Center Gerzensee. She earned Master's degrees in Economics from the Free University in Berlin and in International Economics from the University of Essex.

Her research interests include applied microeconometrics, in particular in the fields of labour and health economics.

She joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in January 2009 and became an IZA Research Fellow in January 2013.
