Judith Rich is currently a Reader in the department of economics, and Chair of the PBS Faculty Research Degrees, University of Portsmouth, U.K. Previously she was a senior lecturer/lecturer in the department of economics at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Her research interests are experimental economics, particularly field and natural experiments; discrimination in markets; efficiency wage theory and occupational sex segregation. She has published in all these areas. Recent publications have been in Annals of Economics and Statistics 2010, Making Equality Count 2010, Asian Economic Journal 2008, Labour 2008. Her teaching covers labour economics and microeconomics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in February 2006.
