I am an Associate Research Professor in the Economic Analysis Division at the Economic and Social Research Institute in Dublin. My research interests include labour economics, applied econometrics and political economy. I currently lead research programmes in the areas of minimum wage policy and skills mismatch. I am the technical co-ordinator for the Horizon Europe funded TRAILS project, which examines issues relating to skills mismatch in Europe (https://www.trails-project.eu/).

I am currently serving as the Managing Editor for the Economic and Social Review. Since 2024, I have been a member of the Electoral Commission’s Research Advisory Group. I am also an adjunct professor at Trinity College Dublin, where I teach on the MSc in Economic Policy.

My publications can be found in journals such as the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, British Journal of Industrial Relations, Oxford Economic Papers, Public Choice, Journal of Economic Surveys, among others.
