Katharina Werner

Katharina Werner is currently the Deputy Director of the ifo Center for Education Economics and a member of the junior faculty at the University of Munich (LMU). She is an education economist and applied microeconomist with research interests in questions related to education, political economy, labor, and human capital.
Katharina received her PhD in Economics from the University of Munich in July 2018. During 2021-2022 she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Program on Education Policy and Governance at Harvard University. Previously, she received a MPhil in Economic Research at St. Edmund’s College at the University of Cambridge, where she also carried out her undergraduate studies.
