Victoria Baranov

Victoria Baranov is a senior lecturer at the department of economics at The University of Melbourne. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Her research focuses on the role of health, particularly psychological health, in the persistence of poverty. More broadly, her interests are in Development Economics, Behavioral Economics, and Applied Microeconomics.

Victoria Baranov joined IZA as a Research Fellow in February 2020.
