Silvio Rendon is former Executive Director at the Inter-American Development Bank* residing in Washington, DC. USA. He holds a PhD in Economics from New York University. Previously, he obtained a Masters of Philosophy at New York University and a BA in Economics at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. He has been an Assistant Professor Universitat Pompeu Fabra, ITAM, and Stony Brook University. He also visited The University of Western Ontario and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

Silvio's research interests deal mostly with the estimation of structural models of job search, firms investment, migration; language and labor markets; diffusion of knowledge, and panel data estimation.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2007.
