Munseob Lee is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) at the University of California San Diego. Lee is also an Associate Director in GPS's Korea-Pacific Program. His research areas are macroeconomics, economic growth, and development economics. He has been a short-term consultant at the World Bank, a visiting fellow at the Asian Development Bank, and a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. He received a BA in Economics from Seoul National University in 2010 and a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2017. He became an IZA Research Affiliate in May 2023.
