Breno Braga is a Principal Research Associate at the Urban Institute in DC. His research covers topics such as high-skilled immigration and the effectiveness of safety net programs. His articles have been published in academic journals, including the Journal of Labor Economics and Journal of Public Economics. His work has been cited in media outlets, including the New York Times, the Atlantic, and Bloomberg.

He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan, his M.A. in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and his B.A. in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
