Anne Ardila Brenøe

Research Fellow

University of Zurich

I am the Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Zurich (UZH), a research affiliate of the Jacobs Center, IZA, the Center for Economic Behavior and Inequality (CEBI), and the Life Course Centre. I am also part of the UZH University Research Priority Programs Equality of Opportunity and Human Reproduction Reloaded. I received my PhD from the University of Copenhagen in 2018.

I am an applied microeconomist, mainly interested in education and labor economics with a special focus on gender. My current work focuses on the two primary obstacles that hinder gender equality in the labor market, namely occupational choice and the response to parenthood.

I joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in June 2017 and became a Research Fellow in December 2023.
