Yun Myeong-Su Yun is an associate professor at the Department of Economics, Tulane University since July 2009. He received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University and was a post-doctoral fellow for two years (August 2000 - July 2002) at the CIBS Program in Human Capital and Productivity, Department of Economics, University of Western Ontario before becoming an assistant professor at the Department of Economics, Tulane University from July 2002.

He has studied various labor market issues and related econometrics techniques, including labor supply, wage differentials, decomposition analysis, earnings inequality, mobility and convergence, poverty, migration, and economies in transition. He has published in Economic Inquiry, Economics Letters, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Economic and Social Measurement, Journal of Population Economics, Review of Development Economics, Review of Income and Wealth and Sociological Methodology.

He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in March 2002.
