Klaus F. Zimmermann studied economics and statistics at the University of Mannheim, where he received his degree as Diplom-Volkswirt, his doctor degree and his habilitation. From 1989-1998 he was Full Professor of Economic Theory at the University of Munich, and Director of the SELAPO Center for Human Resources in Munich; from 1993-1995 he was Dean of the Faculty of Economics, University of Munich.
