Jaap Abbring is Professor of Econometrics at Tilburg University and CentER Fellow. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam in December 1997. Before coming to Tilburg, Jaap was Professor of Economics at VU University Amsterdam and Director of Graduate Studies and Research Fellow of Tinbergen Institute. He also held visiting positions at the University of Chicago, University College London, and the Institute for Fiscal Studies. He has published in, among other outlets, Biometrika, Econometrica, the Handbook of Econometrics, the Journal of the European Economic Association, and the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B. His current research interests include topics in microeconometrics, and the empirical analysis of labor markets, insurance markets, and firm dynamics.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2003. |
