Anne E. Winkler is Professor of Economics and Public Policy Administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is also a Research Affiliate at the National Poverty Center, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. She received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and her undergraduate degree in economics from Wesleyan University. She is on the Editorial Board of Social Science Quarterly and Journal of Labor Research. She previously served as 2nd Vice President of the Midwest Economics Association and as President of the St. Louis Chapter of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE). Her research focuses on the interrelationships between labor, gender, and family. Her work has appeared in academic journals including Journal of Human Resources, Research in Labor Economics, Monthly Labor Review, Demography, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Management Science, and Journal of Urban Economics. She is also coauthor with Francine Blau and Marianne Ferber of The Economics of Women, Men, and Work, currently in its 6th edition. She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2011. |
