||Bruno Coquet is currently President of the Employment Committee of the European Union (EMCO). The main duties of the Committee relate to the preparation of the European Council proceedings with regard to the European Employment Strategy and its instruments and the implementation of national employment policies. He is also advisor of the Director for Employment and Vocational Training in the French Ministry for Economy, Industry and Employment. Prior to this, he was head of a Department in charge of Policy Assessment and Innovation, on labor market issues, in the same Ministry. Before Joining the Ministry he was head of Analyses and Sales Forecasts in the Renault Group. Previously, he had been appointed to various research positions as a macroeconomist at OFCE – Sciences Po Paris.
He works in several fields of applied labor market policies, including unemployment insurance schemes, active labor market policies, forecasting, and labor market reform in the European Union.
Bruno Coquet became an IZA Research Fellow in 2009.
