Martin Guzi holds MSc in Mathematics from the Comenius University in Slovakia and MA in Economics from the CERGE-EI in the Czech Republic. In early 2013 he will defend PhD at CERGE-EI (Thesis entitled "Access to Higher Education, Social Assistance and Welfare Migration"). During 2004-2006, he worked in different projects as a research assistant at CERGE-EI and from 2006 until 2009 as a Junior Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. During 2007-2008 he was a visiting doctoral student at the Core, Université catholique de Louvain with Marie Currie fellowship. From August to November 2008, he worked as a trainee at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt am Main in the EU countries division. His current research focus is on migration, wages, education and unemployment. He joined IZA as a Resident Research Affiliate in October 2009. |
