Guido Schwerdt is currently working at the Ifo Institute and the Ludwigs-Maximilians University in Munich. He was previously employed as a post-doctoral fellow at the Program on Education Policy and Governance (PEPG) at Harvard University.
He studied Economics at the University of Bonn, Germany. He obtained his Ph.D. at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence in 2007. During the academic year 2000-2001, he was a visiting student at New York University (NYU) and, during the academic year 2004-2005, a visiting scholar at the London School of Economics (LSE).
His research interests include the economics of education, labor economics, and productivity analysis. His research has appeared in international journals, including the Review of Income and Wealth, Labour Economics, and the Economics of Education Review.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in November 2011. |
