Fabio Mariani

Mariani Fabio Mariani is Assistant Professor of Economics at IRES, Université Catholique de Louvain (on leave from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris School of Economics).
In the framework of the EDP – European Doctoral Programme, he received his Ph.D. from the Université Catholique de Louvain in June 2005. Previously, he obtained his M.A. In Economics from the UCL and his B.A. from the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
From September 2005 to June 2006, Fabio has been working at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy) as a post-doctoral fellow, his research being financed by the Robert Solow scholarship.
His main research interests are related to International Migration, Growth Theory and Political Economy.
He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in June 2006 and became a Research Fellow in March 2009.
