Daniel Millimet is a Professor of Economics at Southern Methodist University. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University in 1999 and his B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1994.
His research centers on three areas: economics of education, environmental economics, and program evaluation methods. He has also written papers examining the determinants of child health, the impact of children and marriage on labor market outcomes, micro-credit programs, worklife expectancy, and income inequality. His work has been published in journals such as Economic Journal, International Economic Review, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, and Review of Economics & Statistics.
His current research includes projects on the gender gap in academic achievement, the evaluation of various school programs, the interplay between global integration and the environment, and the practical performance of various methods of program evaluation.
He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in July 2008. |
