IZA organizes and co-organizes a variety of events: On a weekly basis, the IZA Research Seminar provides a forum for IZA staff, visitors and the interested public to discuss the latest research in labor economics. IZA cooperates closely with University of Bonn in contributing to their economics department seminar series and organizing joint seminars.

IZA workshops and conferences include high-profile events in Bonn and other locations in Germany and abroad, with topics ranging from gender issues to pension reform.

One of the highlights in the series of IZA events is the annual IZA/SOLE Transatlantic Meeting of Labor Economists, a cooperation with the U.S.-based Society of Labor Economists. The European Summer Symposium in Labour Economics (ESSLE) is a joint initiative with the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR, London) bringing together renowned labor economists and young researchers to discuss research findings and to establish contacts for future cooperation.

A number of advanced graduate students from Europe or European universities are selected each year to participate in the IZA Summer School in Labor Economics in order to study new areas in labor economics and to discuss their own ideas with established researchers.

In addition, we offer information and links to various international conferences and meetings.
