IZA organizes and co-organizes a variety of events: On a weekly
basis, the IZA Research Seminar
provides a forum for IZA staff, visitors and the interested
public to discuss the latest research in labor economics.
IZA workshops and
conferences include high-profile events in Bonn and other
locations in Germany and abroad, with topics ranging from
gender issues to pension reform.
A new highlight in the series of IZA events is the annual IZA/SOLE Transatlantic Meeting of Labor Economists, which was held for the first time in 2002.
The European Summer Symposium in
Labour Economics (ESSLE) brings together renowned labor
economists and young researchers to discuss research findings
and to establish contacts for future cooperation. A number of
advanced graduate students from European universities are
selected each year to participate in the IZA European Summer
School in Labor Economics in order to study new areas in
labor economics and to discuss their own ideas with established
researchers.
The weekly Bonn Economics Research
Seminar is a joint event organized by IZA, the Bonn
Graduate School of Economics and the Centre for European
Integration Studies (ZEI).
In addition, we offer
information and links to various international
conferences
and meetings.
