Online Application Form
We are delighted to announce the 2nd IZA Annual Migration Meeting. This year’s meeting will be “in tandem” with the conference on US immigration by renowned immigration experts (September 9-10, 2005). We aim at a collection of high quality academic work that extends, enriches, refines, and challenges our understanding of migration. We particularly encourage submissions from junior researchers. Researchers are expected to present their best ongoing cutting-edge work. The 2nd AM² will be organized in a manner designed to foster interaction and exchange of ideas among the participants in a relaxed atmosphere. Participants are welcome to also join the US immigration conference.

Submission

Researchers desiring to present their work at this meeting are encouraged to submit a complete paper (extended abstracts will also be considered) using our online application form by May 1, 2005.
Junior researchers should also submit their vita (we will add an extra CV upload form in a few days).
In case of multiple authors, please indicate the correspondence author who is responsible for correspondence and paper presentation.
Papers/abstracts must include:
  • Title of presentation
  • Three to five key words and JEL codes
  • Contact person’s name, title, organization affiliation, address, telephone, fax number, and e-mail address
It is expected that 11 papers will be accepted for presentation over the 2-day AM² meeting. Papers will be considered for a one-hour session, including discussants’ comments and audience participation.
Presenters can make their papers available in advance by placing them on the web so they can be linked to the preliminary program. Please, observe the August 15 deadline.

Finance

Travel expenses and accommodation for one author per paper will be covered according to IZA standard guidelines. IZA will cover inexpensive coach airfares and 3 nights of lodging. The migration meeting includes lunches, dinners, and coffee/tea breaks.
