About the Meeting

We are delighted to announce the 11th Annual Migration Meeting (AM2). For more than a decade the meeting has provided a unique environment in which to present innovative research and exchange ideas with renowned speakers, veterans in the field and junior scholars. We invite submissions of high quality academic work that extends, enriches, refines, and challenges our understanding of the broad array of issues related to migration. Researchers are expected to present their cutting-edge work. Following tradition, the conference will be organized in a matter designed to foster interaction among the participants in a relaxed atmosphere.
The highlight of the AM² is the Julian Simon Lecture.

Professor Francine D. Blau (Cornell University and IZA) will deliver this year’s lecture.
The invited authors are expected to participate in the entire 2-day migration meeting. For the full conference announcement and further information, see the AM² website (http://www.iza.org/conference_files/amm2014).

Travel and Accommodation

Those authors who are invited are expected to participate in the entire 2-day meeting. Economy class airfares and 3 nights of lodging for presenting authors and discussants will be covered according to the standard IZA reimbursement guidelines.

Submission

Researchers interested in participating should submit a paper or extended abstract by March 10, 2014 using our online application form.
Junior researchers should also submit their vitae.
In the case of multiple authors, please indicate the corresponding author who would be presenting the paper. Those invited to present a paper may also be expected to serve as a discussant. Papers should not be published prior to the date of the meeting.

  • Title of presentation
  • Three to five key words and JEL codes
  • Presenting author's name, title, organization affiliation, address, telephone, fax number, and e-mail address
