About the Conference: |
|
We are delighted to announce the 7th Annual Migration Meeting (AM²), which will be in conjunction with the IZA Migration Topic Week this year. We seek high quality academic work that extends, enriches, refines, and challenges our understanding of the broad array of issues related to migration. We particularly encourage submissions from junior researchers. Researchers are expected to present their best ongoing cutting-edge work. The 7th AM² will be organized in a manner designed to foster interaction and exchange of ideas among the participants in a relaxed atmosphere. The highlight of the meeting is the 7th Julian Simon Keynote Lecture. Eskil Wadensjö will deliver this year’s lecture. Those authors who are invited are required to participate in the entire 4-day migration topic week conference (starting with registration and dinner on the evening of June 2, 2010). If participation in all four days is not feasible, this is to be explained in the submission cover letter. The migration topic week includes several migration scientific and social events. |

Researchers desiring to present their work at this meeting are required to submit either an extended abstract or a complete draft paper using our online application form. The deadline is March 1, 2010. Junior researchers should also submit their vita. Electronic submissions are required.
In the case of multiple authors, please indicate the correspondence author who would be presenting the paper. Those invited to present a paper may also be expected to serve as a discussant. Papers should not be published prior to the date of the meeting.
Papers/abstracts must include:
Title of presentation
Three to five key words and JEL codes
Contact person’s name, title, organization affiliation, address, telephone, fax number, and e-mail address

Papers will be considered for a one-hour session, including discussants’ comments and audience participation. To promote the fullest interchange of ideas among the participants, those invited are required to attend all four days of the meeting.
Presenters can make their papers available in advance by placing them on the web so they can be linked to the preliminary program. Please, observe the March 1 deadline.
