About the Workshop

Youth unemployment and labor market integration of the young is a major policy concern in many countries, which has become increasingly important during the recent recession. The aim of this workshop is to analyze the issue of youth unemployment and labor market policies that can facilitate the integration of the young in the labor market from both a theoretical and an empirical perspective.
Papers dealing with the role of labor market institutions such as the minimum wage, fixed-term contracts and active labor market policies, the role of training and apprenticeship and the long term effects of youth unemployment are particularly welcome.
