About the Workshop

We are happy to announce a Workshop on the Economics of Leadership to be held at Sloan School of Management, August 2 & 3, 2012. Potential research themes include: the impact of leaders on organizational outcomes such as performance, management and organizational productivity; the characteristics and development of leaders; boards and governance; CEO origin and succession; diversity; top management team heterogeneity; and what leaders do.
The workshop aims to bring together leading researchers from different parts of economics and management science to discuss issues of leadership. We define leaders broadly as coming from many settings, e.g. public/private/not-for-profit organizations, politics, science and R&D, etc.

The workshop will run for 1.5 days and end in the early afternoon of August 3rd. Please submit your paper or detailed abstract by using our online application form.
The deadline for submission is: March 16, 2012.
Decisions of acceptance or rejection will be announced no later than March 30, 2012.
Complete papers are due July 7, 2012.
