About the Workshop

The aim of the workshop is to bring together leading scholars and young researchers working on topics related to entrepreneurship research. We invite contributions from various interdisciplinary backgrounds:
Theoretical contributions as well as empirical research using survey evidence, laboratory experiments, neuroeconomic methods, and field experiments are welcome.

Examples of Research Topics of the workshop are:
  • Policy Measures to Foster Entrepreneurship
  • The process of Firms’ Entry, Survival and Growth
  • Entrepreneurship and Labor Markets Dynamics
  • Regional Aspects of Entrepreneurship
  • Entrepreneurship and Firm Size
  • Entrepreneurship, Motivation, Cognitive and Non-Cognitive Skills
  • Decision Making Processes, Occupational Choice Models and Entrepreneurship
  • Risk and Time Preferences of Entrepreneurs
  • Remuneration of Entrepreneurs

The keynote lecture will be delivered by David Storey, Professor at the Department of Business Management and Economics at University of Sussex, United Kingdom. David Storey is the highest ranked non-US scholar in Entrepreneurship. He has published his articles in the major entrepreneurship and management journals, has written the influential book “Understanding the Small Business Sector” and has advised many governments and organizations on enterprise policy-making.

 

Submissions

Researchers desiring to present their work at this meeting are encouraged to submit a complete paper or an extended abstract by March 31, 2014 using the online application form.

Papers have to be unpublished at the time of submission. Those authors who are invited are expected to participate in the entire 2-day meeting and also be willing to act as discussants. In the case of multiple authors, please indicate the corresponding author who would be presenting the paper. It is expected that about 12 papers will be accepted for presentation over the two day meeting. Acceptance decisions will be announced by April 15, 2014.
 

Funding

Accommodation and economy class airfares for one author per paper will be covered according to the following reimbursement guidelines.
